Commonly known as double-eyelid surgery, the Asian Eyelid Surgery is a type of cosmetic surgery designed to place a pretarsal crease in Asian eyes, which have no folds.

Above half of the Asians have upper eyelids that seem to be heavy from the eyebrow down to the eyelashes. This condition is known as a single fold eye. To create an eye which appears larger, the procedure is known as double eyelid surgery. This is a popular treatment that can dramatically change your appearance and give you the look you desire.

The Asian Eyelid Surgery is mainly performed under local anesthesia. During the surgery, the patient's eyes are kept completely numb so that only a little pressure is sensed. Dr. Myint can perform the surgery in one hour, and recovery should take another hour. Although an incision on the skin is sometimes required, Dr Myint mostly performs this procedure only using sutures and no incisions and no knife (Double Suture Technique, Suture Blepharoplasty) with results immediately.

Post-surgical discomfort is very mild. Sutures are removed on the fourth or fifth day if they are placed. Bruising should last for only a week while heavy exercise should be delayed for ten days. Dr. Myint completely understands the unique differences in the Asian patient. All you have to do is to complete the form on the right to set up a complimentary consultation.
